I had some dreams ... they were klowns in my koffee.

(With apologies to Carly Simon)

This is my journey through job transition from a toxic environment to a better life. Join me for a few thoughts and a few laughs along the way.
What are "klowns in my koffee"? They are the factors large and small that make you less than you are. A "klown" can be a grossly incompetent boss,
a short-sighted policy or a moronic coworker. They won't kill you, at least not immediately, but they abrade the soul
as you scrape past them to get through the day. Sometimes it's best to dump them out of the cup.

Day 341 - A Patch of Blue

Daily Kup (My Life on the Birthday Train)
It is the birthday party season again. First, it's Attila the Son's ninth birthday today. He celebrating by suddenly outgrowing all his jeans. The rest of us are celebrating tomorrow after the Daisy meeting and the Pinewood Derby.

He pouted about it but was truly too busy to enjoy his own birthday since he attended his first evening birthday party for a friend tonight. Third graders like to think that they are so grown up and cool, but two huge rooms filled with inflatable castles, slides, and bounce rooms beg to differ. They ran and bounced and ran some more. At the end, loaded with pizza, ice cream cake, and Oreos, they made their exhausted, crabby, over-sugared way home at 10 PM.

And tomorrow we start again.

It's startling to realize that we've reached the magic time where our son has been with us longer than he was in the children's home in Kazakhstan.

Local Brew
Here in the upper Midwest, blue hair means that we are COLD! Take that, Katy Perry!

Reheated
Remember back on Day 282 (http://klowns-in-my-koffee.blogspot.com/2011/01/day-282-elf-debris.html) when my DH Mr. T was entirely too enthusiastic about his Snuggie? It appears that he is not alone in the universe. They live among us.

We can thank SnuggiePubCrawls.com for this. And Jennifer for bringing it to my attention in all its Smurf-like creepiness.

And I, for one, welcome our new blue felt overlords.
